The Knauf GifaFrame Access Hatch is purpose-designed for use with Knauf’s high-performance GIFAfloor FHB range. Whether installed within pedestal-supported hollow floors (F181/F182 systems) or line-bearing self-supporting systems (F191/F192), the hatch provides discrete yet durable access to underfloor service voids without compromising structural integrity or visual continuity.
Manufactured from high-density gypsum fibreboard (≥1500 kg/m³) with engineered edge profiles, the GifaFrame access hatch seamlessly integrates with the surrounding flooring elements and can be fitted with matching floor finishes. The accompanying frame system includes adjustable aluminium transition profiles to suit panel thicknesses (typically 25 mm, 28 mm, 32 mm, or 38 mm).
Installation is straightforward using the designated GifaFrame access frames, available in configurations such as 25mm, Single Layer and Double Layer Frames, depending on the GIFAfloor system used. These frames are optimised for a 600 x 600 mm access panel, ensuring compatibility with standard layouts and easy repeatability across projects.
This solution is ideal for commercial, healthcare, transport, or high-spec office environments where both functionality and finish matter. It enables easy access to underfloor M&E services, air plenums, or HVAC systems.
