GenieBoard 302 is a heavy-duty universal flooring board engineered to replace poured screed and multi-layer plywood systems in acoustic floor assemblies. At 25mm thick, it provides superior structural integrity and is perfectly suited for high-traffic environments such as schools, offices, and multi-residential buildings.

This board features a precision-milled 50mm shiplap joint for fast, secure installation. When used with Pliteq GenieMat® RST or GenieMat® FF systems, GenieBoard 302 delivers exceptional sound insulation performance—achieving Rw 65dB, Ln,w 50dB, and a ΔLn,w improvement of 29dB, easily exceeding UK Part E compliance for impact and airborne noise control.

GenieBoard 302 is classified as A2fl-s1 under EN 13501-1:2018 fire safety standards, ensuring it is suitable for use in non-combustible floor designs. It also offers significant sustainability advantages, including up to 92% lower embodied carbon compared to traditional concrete screed, and it enables a completely dry construction process—eliminating cure time and expediting project delivery.

Whether you’re designing new builds or retrofitting complex acoustic upgrades, GenieBoard 302 provides a faster, safer, and greener alternative to traditional flooring systems.

Case Study

Sustainable Acoustic Excellence at Merchant Quay

Barratt Homes’ Merchant Quay development in Leith set out to achieve superior acoustic performance while significantly lowering the embodied carbon footprint of the construction. By integrating GenieMat RST03—made from 94% recycled car tyres—and the carbon negative GenieBoard 302, the project achieved a CO₂ saving of 16.6 kg/m², amounting to a total reduction of 139 tonnes of CO₂e. The dry-laid, fully demountable and recyclable flooring build-up included GenieBoard 302 and GenieMat RST03 over solid wood joists. Post-completion acoustic testing revealed impressive results, exceeding regulatory requirements by 6dB in airborne sound insulation (DnTw 62dB) and 2dB in impact sound insulation (L’nTw 54dB), ensuring both compliance and environmental responsibility.
