These 22mm fixing screws are specifically selected for use with GenieBoard 302 (25mm) universal dry screed flooring boards. Manufactured for strength, speed, and secure fastening, they are designed to work in tandem with the board’s shiplap joint, ensuring a tight and level fit at all seams.

Suitable for use with timber or other appropriate substructures, the screws should be installed at 200mm centres along all board joints, as per GenieBoard installation guidelines. Their precise length prevents over-penetration, maintaining structural integrity while allowing fast, efficient installation across both residential and commercial acoustic floor systems.

Whether you’re building high-spec apartments, schools, or mixed-use spaces, these 22mm screws are a vital component of a compliant and durable dry screed flooring system.

Case Study

Sustainable Acoustic Excellence at Merchant Quay

Barratt Homes’ Merchant Quay development in Leith set out to achieve superior acoustic performance while significantly lowering the embodied carbon footprint of the construction. By integrating GenieMat RST03—made from 94% recycled car tyres—and the carbon negative GenieBoard 302, the project achieved a CO₂ saving of 16.6 kg/m², amounting to a total reduction of 139 tonnes of CO₂e. The dry-laid, fully demountable and recyclable flooring build-up included GenieBoard 302 and GenieMat RST03 over solid wood joists. Post-completion acoustic testing revealed impressive results, exceeding regulatory requirements by 6dB in airborne sound insulation (DnTw 62dB) and 2dB in impact sound insulation (L’nTw 54dB), ensuring both compliance and environmental responsibility.
